In Bent Left's infancy, we were a political band, and nothing about that has changed, but originally it was more about being on board with what we thought were good ideas like cultural revolution and anarchy, where as now the message is more oriented toward walking people through their own internal revolution and anarchy. Fabergé embodies the sort of melancholy optimism that separates the jaded-but-resilient activist from the self-loathing shoegazer. It aims to inspire listeners' to actualize their ideas through blood, sweat and motivational nihilism, and it rewards them for their efforts with a heightened sense of empowerment.
